penne tomato sauce

The Student on a budget pasta for lunch

 Ingredients:

  • Oil
  • Pasta
  • Water
  • Salt
  • 2 rashers of bacon (per person)
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Tomato pesto or sauce

 Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Method:

1 – cook the pasta in the water with a little salt to taste

2 – fry the rashers so that they’re done around the same time as the pasta

3 – drain the pasta

4 – chop the bacon into squares

5 – add the pesto/sauce/soup to the pasta and stir it well over a low heat, only add one or 2 spoonfulls

6 – then add the bacon and continue to mix

7 – grate some cheese into it and mix, it will melt, thickening the sauce.

 This lunch is great for students on a budget
